When Custom Sheers Meet Culture: Our Workroom at the Brooklyn Public Library
Our was brought in to fabricate and install custom white sheers for a major cultural exhibit at the Brooklyn Public Library celebrating Jay-Z and 50 Years of Hip-Hop. The brief was precise: a full wall of high ceiling sheers that would diffuse the natural light flooding in from the building's expansive windows, creating a soft, luminous backdrop for the exhibition space without drawing attention to themselves.
The result is exactly that. The white sheers run the entire length of the gallery wall, filtering daylight into an even, glowing wash that illuminates the display cases and artwork without glare or shadow. Against the exhibit's gold geometric ceiling installation and globe pendant lights, the panels provide a clean, neutral counterpoint, allowing the art and memorabilia to take center stage.
