High Ceiling Motorized Drapes New Jersey Shore.jpg

High-ceiling drapes on the Jersey Shore.

In this New Jersey residence along the Jersey Shore, custom double-height drapery was installed to complement the scale of the living room’s soaring ceilings. The deep grey fabric introduces a quiet contrast to the space, grounding the architecture while emphasizing the height of the windows.

Designed to follow the full height of the room, the panels create a continuous line from ceiling to floor, drawing the eye upward and reinforcing the proportions of the space. The fabric’s subtle texture adds depth without overwhelming the interior. The panels stack in between the windows, to allow a maximum amount of light to come through without obstructing the view.

Beyond aesthetics, these motorized drapes provide practical benefits. The full-height panels soften natural light throughout the day and help improve acoustics within the open living area. In large spaces such as this, custom drapery plays an important role in creating a more comfortable and inviting environment.

The drapery system is fully motorized and integrated with the home automation system, allowing for seamless control. With the touch of a button, a wall keypad, or a mobile device, the drapes can be opened or closed with quiet precision. This level of integration is particularly valuable in high ceiling applications, where manual operation would be impractical.

Careful coordination during the design and installation phases ensured proper track placement, clean stacking, minimal clearance from the floor, and a seamless integration into the architecture. This Jersey Shore project reflects our expertise in custom drapes, motorized drapery systems, and high ceiling window treatments, delivering a solution that is both technically precise and visually refined.
